A bit behind
in this week’s blogging, but it’s been a busy week. Meeting artists exchanging
links, I would say good week of networking.
But let’s
put all in order.
VISUAL
STUDIES
Oh boy, there is a progress, but not a lot. Surprisingly I’m
moved from itro up till 1920`s, so cubism, futurism and Russian revolution is
main characters in era as this.
I can honestly say this is still the hardest task from all I have
this year. I always wanted to write a book, but in my own time. This feels
rushed and subject, well I’m not a historian and its difficult. I do understand
why we been given this work. It is a good learning material as you go along the
decades, discover more and more there is. For example, I never know that there
is two Futurism movements – one from Italy originally and one in Russia, a bit
different and time wise shorter, but still.
I’m exploring more abstract art development and now, decade I’m
at, there is practically everything abstract.
My work is not progressing very fast, as the only time I can
do some work is when I’m back from gallery in evenings. My tired brains at that
point is slightly malfunctional.
Tutors always say, how can you reflect on that, how can you
improve and make it better. Well my only option is having more hours in the
day.

STUDY SKILLS
Health and Safety – there is always regulations regarding
that, where ever we go, whatever we do. In the class we discussed that, which continued
at home drawing parallels with our success story person.
Well as I mentioned in my other blog, not sure if there was
any health and safety regulations in renaissance Italy. By the way UK was first
to announce anything like that after industrial revolution success.
Personally, I think UK is a bit over with all regulations and
laws, as any other country I seen before. Sometimes there is common sense in
place and would not need so much descriptive material and guidelines, like on
paint pots, do not eat, or rub your eyes, well obviously NO!! And there is rule
for nearly every step you take, risk assessments, insurances, hazard warnings,
a bit too much if you ask me, but well that’s how Britain works – every incident
creates more rules and regulations.
FINE ART
Inspirational research I would
call this week’s work, as mainly I was gaining information and also inspiration
from meeting different kind of artists. Each one has they tips and story’s and
it was very positive week. Thanks again to my gallery space as without it
artist circle for me would be limited. So far, I have few links of possible
locations, product printing ideas and I brought a staple gun!!!
Artesian craft
markets seems like a good space - thats, if there is still possibility of booking a space.
I was working for home today, well from gallery as it’s my second home. Meeting some artists and brainstorming, so missed the college. Tomorrow I will go in to discuss all info I have so far with my team mates.
BOOKING A SPACE IS CRUCIAL, AT THIS POINT! Also it would help if we have deadline to work on.

As time is limited - there is possibility
of speeding up our work, which in my case not even a plain canvas as I don’t have
any canvas yet.
